This page ranks the 48 mowers in the Botsize dataset that are sold in the EU. Prices are the maker's list price, or the price its page showed that month (sometimes a sale price), with the month we read it.

To measure your own slope, the slope calculator turns a rise and a run into percent and degrees.

Choosing a mower for a 70% slope

A 70% slope climbs 70 cm over each meter of ground, 35.0°. To pass the sizer's slope check, a model needs a published limit of 75% or more. Ratings of 70% to 74% are at their limit and land in tight. Below 70% the model does not fit.

Few makers rate a mower this high, and in the dataset most of those that do list all wheel drive. The drive type appears in each model page's specifications when the maker states it. Slope ratings assume the conditions the maker sets, so read the manual for limits on wet grass and on the edge of the lawn.

Measure before you buy. On a lawn this steep a small error decides the verdict: a reading of 65% instead of 70% moves the pass mark from 75% to 70%. Take the highest of three readings along the bank with the board and level method in the slope guide.
