Robot mowers for narrow passages: which fit and why
Botsize ran every robot mower in its dataset through the sizer for a 1,000 m² lawn. The verdicts below follow your region, and each card shows the numbers behind its verdict.

The 4 that fit and publish a passage width of 700 mm or less
This page ranks the 48 mowers in the Botsize dataset that are sold in the EU. Prices are the maker's list price, or the price its page showed that month (sometimes a sale price), with the month we read it.

Choosing a mower for a 700 mm passage
This page sets the narrowest passage at 700 mm (27.6 in), the width of a narrow side gate or a gap between a wall and a bed. Most makers do not publish the narrowest gap their mower can work through, so the sizer treats passage width as a note, never a failure. A model whose published width is wider than your gap carries a warning with both numbers.
The page counts the fitting models that publish a passage width of 700 mm or less. For the rest the card says the width is not published: check the manual, or ask the maker before you buy.
Measure the gap at its narrowest point, including gate posts, hinges and the plants that lean into it. A published passage width is the narrowest gap the maker says the mower can work through, which can differ from the width of its body.
Questions about narrow passages
Why does a passage wider than the gap not rule a model out?
Most makers do not publish a passage width, so ruling out only the models that do would favor the ones that publish less. The sizer warns with both numbers instead.
Is the passage width the width of the mower?
No. It is the narrowest gap the maker says the mower can work through, not the width of its body.
