Sizing for a 3,000 m² lawn

A 3,000 m² lawn is 32,292 sq ft, about three quarters of an acre. For this lawn that means 3,600 m² (38,750 sq ft) on one open shape, 4,050 m² (43,594 sq ft) with some beds and trees, and 4,500 m² (48,438 sq ft) for a complex layout. A mower allowed to run in daytime only needs 1.5 times as much again: 6,075 m² (65,391 sq ft) for a typical shape.

Few models reach that, so the fits group is short. The tight group matters here: a model rated for 3,000 to 4,000 m² covers the lawn and may suit an open layout with long mowing hours. On a complex lawn, or one mowed in daytime only, the rating needed climbs to 4,500 m² or more, where only the largest models remain.

Read the basis of the largest ratings. A figure for the area cut per day or per week describes output over time, not the largest lawn a model can map. The area ratings guide explains the difference, and each model page states its basis.
