About Botsize
Botsize checks one thing before you buy a robot mower or a robot vacuum: whether it suits your lawn or your floors.
Updated
What the site does
You enter your lawn area and slope, or your thresholds, furniture height and floors. The tools compare those numbers with the limits each maker publishes and sort every model into fits, tight or does not fit. Each verdict shows the two numbers behind it, so you can check the result yourself.
Where the numbers come from
- Specifications come from the maker's product pages, manuals and specification sheets. We read them and do the math. We do not test robots or measure them ourselves.
- Each model lists its sources and the date we read them.
- A value the maker does not publish shows as not published. We never fill a gap with an estimate.
- The margins we add to a lawn area are rules of thumb, stated on the methodology page.
How the site is paid for
Links to makers may earn a commission in the future. A commission never changes the math, the ranking or which models appear. How we make money explains the links.
