Botsize ran every robot mower in its dataset through the sizer for a 250 m² lawn of typical shape. The verdicts below follow your region, and each card shows the numbers behind its verdict.

Change these numbers in the sizer, or read how the shape and hours factors work in the methodology. They are rules of thumb.
Of the 48 mowers sold in the EU: 46 fit, 2 are tight and 0 do not fit.
Closest fit first: the smallest limit that still covers the rating your lawn needs, then the lower price, then the larger slope margin.

The limit covers the rating your lawn needs, and nothing rules the model out.

This page ranks the 48 mowers in the Botsize dataset that are sold in the EU. Prices are the maker's list price, or the price its page showed that month (sometimes a sale price), with the month we read it.
To work out your own lawn size, the lawn area calculator adds up the shapes of your garden.
A 250 m² lawn is 2,691 sq ft. For this lawn that means 300 m² (3,229 sq ft) on one open shape, 338 m² (3,633 sq ft) with some beds and trees, and 375 m² (4,036 sq ft) for a complex layout. A mower allowed to run in daytime only needs 1.5 times as much again: 506 m² (5,449 sq ft) for a typical shape.
Almost every model covers that, so the choice turns on other things. The sizer ranks the closest fit first, which on a small lawn is also the smallest rating that still fits. A model whose limit is more than 6 times the lawn, above 1,500 m² (16,146 sq ft) here, carries an oversized note: you pay for capacity the lawn does not use.
Small lawns tend to have a high share of edges, beds and corners for their size, so the complex shape often describes them better than typical. Check the narrowest gap the mower has to pass and the slope of any bank, which rule out more models on a small plot than the area does.
